MIKA ~ The Boy Who Knew Too Much
It is FANTASTIC!!! If you are a fan of his first album than you will definitely fall in love with this one. I'm still on the fence a bit....but I'm leaning towards liking the new album even more than the first.
I got the deluxe version which came with some videos of him performing songs from his first album and a couple of the making of/behind the scenes videos, which was a nice bonus.
I realize that Mika is not really main stream....although he should be because he is one of the more creative pop artists out there in my opinion. He is from the UK so he is much more popular across the pond. You may have heard his singles from his first album: Grace Kelly or Love Today You should check out those videos.....very entertaining. Plus he's pretty hot. Also a nice bonus. ;)
It's hard to pick favorites on this album because I really love them all. But if I have to choose, I would highly recommend Good Gone Girl. It is very reminiscent of the singles from the last album. Also, Touches You is excellent. It is very 80s George Michael-esque. He also seems to be channeling Freddie Mercury throughout a few of the songs.
He also collaborates with one of my other favorites artists, Imogen Heap, on the song By the Time. Adding her haunting vocals to his voice makes for an excellent combination!
So if you are looking for something new.....check it out! I bet it will have you dancing in your living room.
