I want to go to there

I'm sure by now everybody has heard the Gotye song 'Someone That I Used To Know'. It came out last year, but it seems to be becoming quite popular in the last few weeks. I've heard quite a few covers over the last few months, some good...some not so good. Well a friend posted this a cappella version on Facebook and it might be my favorite cover that I've heard so far. I had to do a little research on the group. I will admit I hadn't heard of them before. I guess they were one of the groups on that show The Sing Off.

Loving her new single....the new album comes out May 1st.

I realize I haven't posted for a few days....been kinda crazy around here.
But my favorite band in the whole world announced the release date for their new album this morning along with a little video, so I had to share that. Based on the sound clips in the video it sounds really great and I'm so excited!!!

I've always been a huge fan of Kate Havenik. She's a unique artist. Her latest album came out last week and I finally had a chance to listen to it. I think this is probably my favorite song on the album.

It was an indie rock kind of day. Well...I have a lot of those days. :o)
I've discovered these guys recently and I really like them a lot.

In honor of her sweeping all her categories that she was nominated for at the Grammy awards I'm posting this video. Which happens to be a pretty awesome music video in my opinion. When this album came out in early 2011 I said that I knew it was kind of early in the year to make such a claim, but I thought that it was going to be one of the best albums of the year. Well indeed it was. And she now has the Grammy to prove it. It was definitely my favorite album of 2011 and will probably remain among my favorites of all time.
